Pete Leo
Director
Pete is active in his community and is currently an elected member of the Waconia City
Council. He was also part of the Inclusive playground design task force and is currently a
member of the Inclusive playground fundraising team. Pete has a passion for helping others
and making sure everyone is treated equally and given a chance to be successful.
Pete is extremely passionate about the Eva Sophia project as he has a sister who is currently
living in a group home and understands how difficult it is for someone with special needs to
find a good place to live. Pete believes the Eva Sophia Project is important because it will not
only give individuals a place to live but it will also make them part of this great community.
Most recently, Pete was an Associate Commodity Manager for Emerson Process
Management. He also held positions in Finance and Information Technology at Emerson.
Currently Pete is a stay-at-home dad and loves spending time with his kids. Pete holds a
Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Hamline University. He
is currently going to school at the University of North Dakota to obtain his teaching license and
Master’s in Special Education.
In Pete’s free time he loves hanging out with his wife and four children. He also enjoys going
on family vacations with his brothers and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Pete
also enjoys watching Gopher football and basketball.
Fun fact: In high school Pete was in Chamber Choir.
