Wade Scott

Director

As a lifelong southern Minnesota resident Wade has witnessed many changes to the area, especially in the last 20 years. As such, he is looking to contribute to developing positive change as a member of the Eva Sophia Project.

Wade is originally from Bird Island, MN. He attained his Bachelor of Science degree at Mankato State University before moving to the Minneapolis area to work in finance and management. Those early jobs led him to Farm Bureau Financial Services where he is entering my 20th year as an insurance agent and registered representative.

While working in the metro he met his wife Gerri and together they moved to western Carver County to make a home and start a family. Together they have 3 children: Sommer, Mitchell, and Rachel. Mitchell is Wade’s “Why’; his catalyst to joining the Eva Sophia Project. Mitchell is a happy sports and music enthusiast of a young man who would like to be around his friends more and be around his boring parents less! As he approached adulthood, Wade watched his friends in the metro area leave their parents’ home to live with friends in supervised living arrangements. Wade and Gerri discussed Mitchell’s future living arrangements and worried about him moving to the unfamiliar and faster pace of the suburbs. When he was invited to join the Eva Sophia Project he eagerly accepted and has been involved since.

Wade is looking forward to bringing a supervised residence for adults with cognitive disabilities to the friendly Waconia area.
