Jim lives in Waconia with his wife, Jennifer, and his 3 children – Sam, Jack and Emma. Today, Jim is VP of Agronomy at United Farmers Cooperative (UFC). He’s held positions that range from operations, Sales Management, and Product Management. Jennifer juggles many things…contract travel work, a photography business, and most importantly – Sam & Friends - a gift shop that employs differently-abled individuals from our community.
A 93’ graduate of The University of Minnesota, Jim, who grew up on a farm in SW Minnesota, has spent his whole career in Agriculture. You could say it is just in his DNA. Jim has served on various boards during his career along with volunteering whenever possible including the University of Minnesota Alumni Board of Directors for the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resource Sciences.
His interests include boating on Lake Waconia, fishing, and snowmobiling. Most days include driving kids to and from school and church and cheering on the sidelines for sports.
